Effect of DMPF-1 on TNF-α-induced chemokine secretion by A549 cells. Cells were stimulated with 10 ng/mL of TNF-α and treated with increasing concentrations of DMPF-1 for 24 hours and the concentrations of (a) eotaxin-1, (b) RANTES, (c) MCP-1, (d) GRO-α, and (e) IL-8 were assayed by EIA. N stands for normal (without TNF-α-stimulation); C stands for vehicle control (TNF-α-stimulated). The values are expressed as mean ± SEM of three independent experiments performed in triplicate. , significantly different from the TNF-α-stimulated vehicle control.
