Inhibition of Epithelial CC-Family Chemokine Synthesis by the Synthetic Chalcone DMPF-1 via Disruption of NF-κB Nuclear Translocation and Suppression of Experimental Asthma in Mice

Figure 5

Effect of DMPF-1 on TNF-α-stimulated nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 in A549 cells. Cells were treated with DMPF-1 (7.5 μM) or positive controls in the presence or absence of TNF-α for 1 hour. Cytosolic and nuclear fractions were subjected to Western blot analysis. (a) Cytosolic fraction in which protein levels of p65 were normalized to β-actin. (b) Nuclear fraction in which protein levels of p65 were normalized to TFIIB. The values are expressed as mean ± SEM of three independent experiments. , , and , significantly different from the TNF-α-stimulated control group.
