Activation of CXCL-8 Transcription by Hepatitis E Virus ORF-1 via AP-1

CXCL-8 promoter activities in the presence of HEV genomic RNA. HuH-7 cells were cotransfected with HEV genomic RNA and CXCL-8 promoter-luciferase reporters of different lengths or a luciferase reporter vector without the CXC-8 promoter. Luciferase assay was performed 48 hours after transfection. Luciferase activity was normalized against the protein concentration of the same samples. : p ≤ 0.05; : p ≤ 0.01 by Student’s -test.
