Vitamin D Potentiates the Inhibitory Effect of MicroRNA-130a in Hepatitis C Virus Replication Independent of Type I Interferon Signaling Pathway

Calcitriol inhibits HCV RNA replication both in Con1b replicon and in J6/JFH1 HCVcc. Huh7.5-Con1b replicon cells (a) or J6/JFH1 infected HCVcc (b) were treated with 0–0.4 μM calcitriol for 48 h, after which cells were harvested and total RNA was extracted. The levels of HCV RNA and GAPDH mRNA were measured by quantitative RT-PCR as described in Section 2. Data are presented as , . versus 0 μM (untreated control).
