The protective mechanisms involved in the inflammatory response of renal tissues during severe acute pancreatitis. Hydrogen-rich saline protects the acute renal injury by antioxidant effect directly and by scavenging the overproduced ^•OH and ONOO⁻ to inhibit the activation of NF-κB.
