Effects of MitoQ on mitochondrial membrane potential () in isolated pancreatic acinar cells. (a) Neither 1 μM MitoQ nor dTPP had a significant effect on per se. In contrast the protonophore CCCP induced complete depolarisation. Mean data (b) and representative images (c) showing that 10 μM MitoQ and dTPP partially depolarised mitochondria. Application (d) CCK (10 nM) or (f) TLCS (500 μM) caused a fall of compared to time-matched controls. However, neither 1 μM MitoQ nor dTPP pretreatment protected against depolarisation induced by (e) CCK (10 nM) or (g) TLCS (500 μM) ( mice per group).
