Patients before GT had significantly higher level of the leptin than controls (). (b) (scatter plot) depicts serum leptin levels before and after GT in patients. Pairwise comparison (Wilcoxon signed rank test) did not show any statistically significant difference. For smokers (black dots) and nonsmokers (open circles) statistics see the plot legend. All together 32 dots represent 64 measurements; each dot belongs to one patient. The top histogram shows data distribution before the treatment; the right side histogram corresponds to the posttreatment values distribution.
