Folic Acid Is Able to Polarize the Inflammatory Response in LPS Activated Microglia by Regulating Multiple Signaling Pathways

IL-10 production induced by folic acid (50 μg/mL) activity is downregulated by p38 inhibition. BV-2 cells were incubated with 10 μM of p38 pharmacological inhibitor, SB203580, 1 hour before LPS treatment in the presence or absence of folic acid. The supernatants were collected after 24 h LPS treatment and assayed for IL-10 release. This assay was performed in triplicate and data are expressed as the mean ± SD of five independent experiments. .
