Proposed models demonstrating the mechanism that HSYA inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome activation via directly binding to XO in macrophages. ① HSYA first binds to XO and suppresses the activity of XO upregulated by LPS. ② HSYA then inhibits LPS-induced excessive ROS generation. ③ HSYA suppresses NLRP3 inflammasome activation and thus blocked the mature transformation process of IL-1β and IL-18.
