The Combination of MBP and BCG-Induced Dendritic Cell Maturation through TLR2/TLR4 Promotes Th1 Activation In Vitro and Vivo

MBP plus BCG enhances CD80, CD86, and MHCII expression on DCs in vivo. DCs were isolated from WT mice ((a), (d), and (g)), TLR4−/− mice ((b), (e), and (h)), or TLR2−/− mice ((c), (f), and (i)) immunized with MBP, BCG, or the combination of MBP and BCG and were analyzed for CD80, CD86, and MHCII expression with flow cytometry. The percentage of CD11c+ cells expressing CD80, CD86, and MHCII is expressed as the mean ± standard deviation and is shown in a bar graph. Data are derived from three independent experiments. is considered to indicate statistically significant differences compared with the NS group derived from WT mice.
