Buprenorphine Alters Inflammatory and Oxidative Stress Molecular Markers in Arthritis

Correlation analyses of gene expression of oxidative stress markers with pain scores in the human cohort. Baseline blood samples were collected in PAXgene tubes from 18 DMARD-naïve early RA subjects and were used to isolate RNA and determine gene expression by qRT-PCR. Each circle in the graph represents the ∆Ct values of individual samples after normalization with 18s RNA expression. Spearman correlation analysis was used to determine the correlation between pain VAS and specific gene expression. A value of <0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.
