Amelioration of Ethanol-Induced Hepatitis by Magnesium Isoglycyrrhizinate through Inhibition of Neutrophil Cell Infiltration and Oxidative Damage
MgIG prevents chronic plus binge ethanol feeding-induced neutrophil infiltration in the liver. Mice were treated as described in Figure 1. (a) Liver leucocytes were isolated and analyzed by flow cytometry. The percentage of neutrophils (Gr1 + CD11b+) in liver leucocytes was determined. (b) Immunohistochemical staining of MPO-positive neutrophils in the liver. (c) Relative mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) of the cell surface levels of CD11b and CD62L on liver neutrophils determined by flow cytometry.
