OF and CM suppressed proinflammatory cytokine mRNA expression induced by conditioned medium derived from LPS-stimulated THP-1 cells (TLPS/CM). Cell viability was measured by the MTT assay (a). Real-time RT-PCR analysis of mRNA levels of IL-1β (b), IL-6 (c), IL-8 (d), TNF-α (e), and TGF-β (f) in HepG2 cells cultured with RPMI medium (control cells) and 50% TLPS/CM (vehicle cells) or coincubated with 400 μg/mL of OF or CM in 50% TLPS/CM. All data were normalized to GAPDH mRNA, and the fold changes in expression were calculated relative to control cells. Each experiment was independently performed three times.
