Acinetobacter baumannii Lipopolysaccharide Influences Adipokine Expression in 3T3-L1 Adipocytes
Effect of LPS prepared from six strains of gram-negative bacteria on MIP-2 expression in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. (a) Differentiated adipocytes were incubated for 1 h with 100 ng/mL LPS prepared from six strains of gram-negative bacteria, including A. baumannii ATCC 19606, MDRA, E. coli O55:B5, E. coli O111:B4, P. aeruginosa PAO1, and MDRP. The cells were then subjected to a real-time PCR analysis for MIP-2 expression. (b) Differentiated adipocytes were incubated for 48 h in complete fresh medium containing 1000 ng/mL LPS prepared from six strains of gram-negative bacteria or saline, and the MIP-2 levels in the culture medium were measured by an ELISA.
