ERK1/2 activation mediates Ang II-induced inflammation in vascular smooth muscle cells. After being pretreated with ERK1/2 inhibitor PD98059 (10 μmol/l) for 30 minutes, vascular smooth muscle cells were stimulated with 100 nmol/l Ang II for 24 hours.
