IL-17 Receptor Signaling Negatively Regulates the Development of Tubulointerstitial Fibrosis in the Kidney

IL-17 and IL-17 target gene expressions are increased in the obstructed kidney of WT mice. WT mice were subjected to UUO (–11). Mice were sacrificed at day 7 post-surgery, and renal transcript expressions of (a) Il17a, Il17f, Il17c, and Il17e, and (b) IL-17-responsive genes (Il6, Ccl20, Cxcl1, and Cxcl2) in the UUO and non-UUO kidneys were evaluated by qPCR.
