The EGFR is required for DEP-induced IL-8 expression in THP-1 cells. (a) THP-1 cells were treated with 10-100 μg/ml DEP for 4 h. Cells were lysed, and the supernatants of cell lysates were subjected to SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting using phospho and pan antibodies against EGFR. (b, c) THP-1 cells were pretreated with 10 μM PD153035 for 2 h before further treatment with 100 μg/ml DEP for 24 h.
