To use the nomogram, find the position of each variable on the corresponding axis, draw an upward vertical line to the point axis to get the relevant number of points, add the points from all of the variables, and draw a line from the total point axis to determine the IR probabilities at the lower line of the nomogram. TG = triglyceride; TC = total cholesterol; HDL-C = high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; LDL-C = low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
