Leukotriene Involvement in the Insulin Receptor Pathway and Macrophage Profiles in Muscles from Type 1 Diabetic Mice

<div>Characterization of T1D. (a) T1D induction protocol: 5LO<sup>-/-</sup> and WT mice were fasted for 5 hours before daily injections (i.p.) of streptozotocin (60 mg/kg) for 5 days. Ten days after the last STZ injection, mouse blood glucose levels were measured, and mice with levels higher than 300 mg/dL were considered diabetic. The nondiabetic (healthy) group received the drug diluent, citrate buffer. (b) Blood glucose levels in T1D and healthy groups at day 15.
