Electronegative LDL from Rabbits Fed with Atherogenic Diet Is Highly Proinflammatory

<div>Effects of copper oxidation of nLDL and LDL(-) on IL-1<i>β</i>, IL-6, and TNF-<i>α</i> production in THP-1 macrophages. THP-1 macrophages were treated with 20 <i>μ</i>g/ml of nLDL, LDL(-), Cu-ox-nLDL, or Cu-ox-LDL(-) for 24 h, then levels of IL-1<i>β</i> (a), IL-6 (b), and TNF-<i>α</i> (c) in the medium were measured by ELISA.
