Butyrate Enhances Desensitization Induced by Oral Immunotherapy in Cow’s Milk Allergic Mice

<div>OIT influenced whey-specific IgE responses in mice. Whey-specific antibodies were measured by means of ELISA in serum collected at D70. (a) Whey-specific IgE, (b) whey-specific IgA, (c) whey-specific IgG1, and (d) whey-specific IgG2a levels were increased in whey-sensitized control mice compared to sham-sensitized controls. OIT decreased whey-specific IgE independent of the dietary interventions. OIT + FOS had the most pronounced effect on whey-specific IgA, IgG1, and IgG2a.
