Mibefradil and Flunarizine, Two T-Type Calcium Channel Inhibitors, Protect Mice against Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Acute Lung Injury

Mibefradil inhibited p65 phosphorylation and IκB-α degradation in lung tissues of LPS-induced ALI mice. Mibefradil (40 mg/kg) was administrated 30 min before LPS exposure. Mice were sacrificed 6 h after LPS exposure, and the whole protein extraction from lung tissues was processed. The phosphorylated p65 and IκB-α expressions were measured by Western blotting, and the protein signals were quantified.
