Saponin from Periploca forrestii Schltr Mitigates Oxazolone-Induced Atopic Dermatitis via Modulating Macrophage Activation
Figure 2
PFS improved the development of atopic dermatitis- (AD-) like symptoms in oxazolone-induced BALB/c mice (ten-time challenge). BALB/c female mice were sensitized as described in Materials and Methods. The PFS and HC groups were intragastrically administered with PFS or HC continuously for 34 days. (a) Experimental protocol; (b) clinical features of AD-like skin lesions at day 20; (c) thickness of the left ear of the mouse; (d) clinical score of AD-like skin lesions at day 20. Data are shown as (-8), , , and versus the vehicle group; # versus the PFS group.
