Each bone slice was analyzed blindly and independently by two researchers. TRAcP intensity and the presence of stromal cells were analyzed on a 0-3 scale and the average number of nuclei per cell was counted. /Fisher’s exact test,. Example images are shown in Figure 4 and S4.
