Postoperative Pulmonary Hemodynamics and Systemic Inflammatory Response in Pediatric Patients Undergoing Surgery for Congenital Heart Defects

Pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP), systemic arterial pressure (SAP), and peripheral oxygen saturation (O2 Sat) measured in the postoperative care unit with readings at 2-hour intervals (12 times within a day) for 2.5 consecutive days. Data are presented as mean with SE. Circles and squares represent patients with () and >0.40 (), respectively. Data were analyzed using the general linear model for repeated measures. There was a significant between-group difference for mean PAP () but not for mean SAP () or O2 Sat (0.113).
