Fingerprint Quality Evaluation in a Novel Embedded Authentication System for Mobile Users

Image quality evaluation module classifies the fingerprint image quality and identifies high quality areas. It checks if the fingerprint is centered over the image. If an image is rejected, a suggestions feedback is given, to the user for the next fingerprint acquisition tasks.
