Pulsatile Flow of Two-Fluid Nonlinear Models for Blood Flow through Catheterized Arteries: A Comparative Study

Figure 9

Variation of longitudinal impedance with yield stress for two-fluid H-B and Casson models with A=k=α=αH=αC=0.5, R1=0.95 and t=45°. When the yield stress increases, the longitudinal impedance to flow increases very slowly two-fluid H-B model and it increases linearly for the two-fluid Casson model when the yield stress increases from 0 to 0.15 and then it increases slowly when the yield stress increases from 0.15 to 0.25. The longitudinal impedance to flow of the two-fluid H-B model is significantly lower than that of the two-fluid Casson model.
