Genesis trajectory as viewed in the Sun-Earth rotating frame. Samples of solar material were collected on the spacecraft over two years in an 𝐿₁ libration point orbit and returned to Earth. During the return, the lunar gravity was also leveraged as the spacecraft shifted to the 𝐿₂ region prior to Earth reentry.
