The main steps of the method of morphing polygons 𝑃₀ and 𝑃₁using Fourier parametrization.

(1) Transform the coordinates of 𝑃0 and 𝑃1 with matching vertices to local coordinates.
(2) Approximate the matching segments with the Fourier parameters.
(3) Interpolate the local origins.
(4) Interpolate the Fourier parameters.
(5) Reconstruct the interpolated intermediate polygons.
