The Prediction of Calpain Cleavage Sites with the mRMR and IFS Approaches

Bar plots to show the distribution in the final optimal feature set for (a) the PSSM score and (b) the corresponding specific site score. It was shown from panel (a) that mutations of amino acid Valine (V) played most important role in prediction of calpain cleavage sites; followed by Leucine (L) and Phenylalanine (P). And it was shown from panel (b) that conservation in site 5, site 8, site 12, and site 13 was more important in determining the calpain cleavage sites.
