Optimization of Power Allocation for Multiusers in Multi-Spot-Beam Satellite Communication Systems

Algorithm 1

The proposed power allocation algorithm.

Step  1. Set appropriate initial values for the dual variables.

Step  2. Substitute the values of the dual variables into (14), and then calculate the

   optimized power allocation to each user.

Step  3. Substitute the values of the power of each user which is obtained from

   step  2, into (16) and (17), and then update the dual variables.

Step  4. If the conditions of 𝜆^𝑛+1𝑃_total−∑_𝑖𝑃_𝑖<𝜀 and

    𝜎_𝑖^𝑛+1𝑊_𝐵𝑖−∑_{𝑗∈𝒩𝐵𝑖}𝑊_𝑗<𝜀,∀𝑖∈{1,…,𝐾} are satisfied simultaneously, then terminate

   the algorithm. Otherwise, jump to Step  2.
