Supplementary Material

The spring pendulum is basically a mass block suspended by a spring. It has two motions: the spring motion and the pendulum motion. Those two motions can be strongly coupled. The gif on the left shows the motion of a spring pendulum. The other gif shows its motion calculated by Matlab.
