Detection results of the proposed method (a) and the original Faster R-CNN framework (b) on the KITTI validation set. As shown, the proposed approach can detect more small vehicles and avoid removing positive vehicle proposals unexpectedly (shown in the first row and the third row) compared to the original Faster R-CNN.
