Prediction of North Atlantic Oscillation Index Associated with the Sea Level Pressure Using DWT-LSTM and DWT-ConvLSTM Networks

<div>The architecture of the NAO prediction via the NAOI sequence using DWT-LSTM. The original NAO sequence is decomposed by DWT; then the two components are normalized into a range of [0, 1]. Their series are grouped with rolling mechanism and the smooth scheme of the GM and are fed into LSTM. After the inverse transformation and wavelet reconstruction, the predicted sequence is obtained:</div>
