The structure of the spine and its corresponding physiological function [13]. The spine is composed of 26 segments of vertebras, which can be divided into the cervical spine (7), thoracic spine (12), lumbar spine (5), sacroiliac spine, and coccyx. A spinal canal is formed inside the spine from the top to bottom with a spinal cord inside. Spinal cords in different segments control different physiological functions (breathing, movement, defecation function, etc.) of the human body.
