Advanced Topics in Dynamics of Complex Systems

Description

The investigation of complex systems in a unified manner is recognized during the last few years as a new and very promising scientific discipline. Therefore, a wide range of interdisciplinary methods and techniques should be applied and, at the same time, new tools should be invented to extract hidden and valuable information from the dynamics of complex systems. The main aim of this special issue is to present algorithms and modelling techniques useful for analysing complex phenomena and dynamical systems with nonlinear and memory effects. Papers containing original research work that reflect the recent theoretical advances and experimental results as well as open new avenues for research are invited on all aspects of object tracking. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Fractional dynamics
  • Impulse dynamics and impact mechanics
  • Chaos
  • Fractal
  • Information and computation theory
  • Signal processing (filtering, restoration, reconstruction, and analysis of fractal noise)
  • Thermal engineering (modelling and identification of thermal systems)
  • Mechanics and mechatronics (viscoelasticity, vibration insulation, control)
  • Biology and biophysics (signal and models of biological systems, viscoelasticity in biology)
  • Bioengineering
  • Anomalous diffusion
  • Artificial life
  • Complex adaptive systems

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/mpe/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/mpe/dcs/ according to the following timetable:
