Mathematical Tools of Soft Computing 2014

Description

It is an important and promising topic that applies the soft computing techniques on engineering problems. This special issue will focus on the recent developments of the mathematical tools and algorithms to solve formal and practical problems arising from the engineering areas. We invite investigators and researchers to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts in mathematical tools of soft computing. Real-world case studies in engineering are highly welcomed. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Algorithms
  • Bioinformatics
  • Computer simulation
  • Data mining
  • Expert systems
  • Evolutionary computation
  • Fuzzy systems
  • Intelligent control
  • Machine learning
  • Neural networks
  • Numerical optimization
