Mathematical Methods for IoT-based Signal and Image Processing Applications

Description

Mathematical methods have become increasingly prevalent as a practical tool for the understanding of complex data and offering intelligent processing to help save people time and effort. In today’s era, various objects are communicating through the Internet of Things (IoT) in real-time scenarios using networking technologies. IoT is widely utilized in various domains like smart environments, agriculture fields, smart homes, smart cities, and healthcare systems.

Mathematical methods for various applications of IoT-based signal and image processing applications present important mathematical groundworks and tools. It emphasizes the main mathematical tools for the representation and manipulation of knowledge symbolically. The main tools for manipulating knowledge non-symbolically, such as neural nets, are optimization methods and statistics.

The scope of this Special Issue includes an extensive range of topics for the application of quantitative, combinatorial, logical, algebraic, and algorithmic methods to various areas as diverse as decision support, computer vision, automated deduction, reasoning, machine learning, knowledge-based systems, fuzzy approaches, robotics, and planning. It is hoped to influence the spawning of new areas of applied mathematics and the consolidation of the scientific foundations of IoT-based signal and image processing applications. The Internet has become a vital part of one’s life; to take this to the next step, the Internet has been connected to various devices. Using smart technologies, all devices are connected to one another to create a worldwide ubiquitous network. This Special Issue covers the new fundamental methods in IoT-based signal and image processing applications and related fields, as well as the various applications in different applied areas, such as agriculture, remote, medicine, and engineering.
