Recent Advances on Methods and Applications of Nonlinear Differential Equations
Description
Nonlinear differential equations have been extensively used to mathematically model many of the interesting and important phenomena that are observed in many areas of science and technology. They are inspired by problems which arise in diverse fields such as economics, biology, fluid dynamics, physics, differential geometry, engineering, control theory, materials science, and quantum mechanics.
The aim of this special issue is to report on recent developments in the field of nonlinear differential equations and their applications. The Journal of Mathematical Problems in Engineering will accept high-quality articles containing original research results and reviews.
We are interested in articles that have methods and models based on nonlinear differential equations. Their solutions can be analytic or numerical. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Lie symmetry and operator methods for differential equations
- Fractional differential equations
- Stochastic differential equations
- q-equations including fractional q-discrete equations
- Applications of differential equations in engineering such as in beam theory including the Euler-Bernoulli beam equations, and so forth
- Applications to classical and fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, thermodynamics, finance, physics, biology, and so forth
- Variational methods
- Computational and numerical methods
All accepted papers will be published in the Journal of Mathematical Problems in Engineering, which is indexed by SCI. Therefore, papers are widely invited from both theoretical researches and industrial practices.
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/mpe/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/author/submit/journals/mpe/rade/ according to the following timetable:
