When some channels are open, flows from the ER to the cytosol. returns back to the ER via a process called pump. Channel opening is affected by the concentration surrounding the channel. in cytosol can be associated/dissociated with different types of buffer. in cytosol, ER, and Buffers rapidly diffuses to the neighbouring cells.
