The effects of gabazine on spontaneous activity and auditory responsiveness. (a) Blockade of inhibition by gabazine increased spontaneous activity in both normal and XMAC. (b) The changes in spontaneous activity after gabazine administration in XMAC were not significantly different from those in the normal group. (c) Blockade of inhibition by gabazine increased mean spike numbers per trial in response to auditory stimulation in both normal and XMAC. (d) The changes in responsiveness to sound stimuli after gabazine administration in XMAC were significantly larger than those in the normal group. ; .
