Limited Effects of an eIF2αS51A Allele on Neurological Impairments in the 5xFAD Mouse Model of Alzheimer’s Disease

EEG recordings revealed nonconvulsive seizure activity in the motor cortex of animals carrying the 5xFAD transgenes and/or the allele. Radiotelemetric recordings from the primary motor cortex (M1) of wild-type, 5xFAD, 5xFAD;, and mice (WT, mice; 5xFAD, mice; 5xFAD;, mice; , mice). Wild-type mice did not exhibit seizure activity, whereas all other genotypes showed episodes of spike, polyspike, and spike-wave activity.
