Preventative effect of edaravone on toxicity of glutamate in cultures of SGNs. (a) Illustration of drug treatment. SGNs were treated with edaravone first and 2 mM glutamate 20 min later. Then the medium was changed to normal medium 10 min after that. Cell viability was observed after normal culture for 24 h.
