Therapeutic effect of edaravone on toxicity of glutamate in cultures of SGNs. (a) Illustration of drug treatment. SGNs were treated with 2 mM glutamate for 10 min; then the medium was changed to normal medium. 500 μM edaravone was added to the medium at different time points (2 h, 6 h, and 12 h later), respectively.
