Loss of Myh14 Increases Susceptibility to Noise-Induced Hearing Loss in CBA/CaJ Mice

Myh14−/− mice showed normal cochlear morphology. Cochlear morphology is normal in Myh14−/− mutant mice. Cochlea stained with hematoxylin and eosin from 3-month-old control and Myh14−/− mice. No prominent differences, including spiral ganglion (SGN) in modiolus (MO) and hair cells (HC), were found between wild type and mutant mice. Scale bar, 100 μm.
