The enhancement of BPA on hippocampal LTP was ER-dependent. (a) Administration of ICI 182,780 10 nM (an antagonist of ERs, filled square, ) remarkably decreased the 100 nM BPA-induced enhancement of LTP. Pretreatment with the ERs antagonist ICI 182,780 30 min before BPA 100 nM (open squares, ) application completely blocked BPA-enhanced LTP compared with BPA alone.
