Beneficial Effects of Resveratrol-Mediated Inhibition of the mTOR Pathway in Spinal Cord Injury

Resveratrol inhibits the mTOR signaling pathway in the repair of SCI. (1) Resveratrol can inhibit the PI3K and Akt and mTOR pathway so as to regulate protein synthesis, autophagy, and apoptosis. (2) mTORC1 can interact with IKK to connect with NF-κB. (3) Resveratrol activates AMPK phosphorylation. mTOR, as a downstream signaling pathway of AMPK, can be inhibited by AMPK.
