(b) Adult female voles were bilaterally ovariectomized, and after one week of recovery, they were treated with estradiol benzoate to induce sexual receptivity. (c) To visualize the new cells, adult male voles were injected with 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine (BrdU) three times during the sexual behavior tests and were sacrificed 48 h after completing the tests.
