DWI and MR Perfusion. A patient with severe left-sided and moderate right-sided vasospasm demonstrates diffuse hyperintense signal in the posterior parietal lobe as well as a midbrain lesion on DWI (a), while MR Perfusion shows normal rCBV (b), low rCBF (c), and increased tMTT (d) in the left MCA region. This clearly demonstrates the diffusion-perfusion mismatch phenomenon. Originally published in [16].
