Comparative Neuroprotective Effects of Dexamethasone and Minocycline during Hepatic Encephalopathy

The effects of minocycline and dexamethasone on the inflammatory changes associated with minimal hepatic encephalopathy. Both dexamethasone and minocycline (𝑛=6 per group) reduced the levels of IL-1β (pg/mg) (a), IL-6 (pg/mg) (b), and TNF-α (pg/mg) (c) and increased the level of IL-10 (pg/mg) (d) in the brain tissue associated with acute liver injury.
